Mr. Tony Encinias is ViON’s Vice President of Technology. In his position, Mr. Encinias will head up ViON’s ambitious efforts to design and implement enterprise-class IT solutions for governments and commercial customers who are demanding high performance, lower costs, top security and 24/7/365 support in their IT modernization efforts. Mr. Encinias most recently served as the Chief Information Officer for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, where he was also Chief Technology Officer from 2008 to 2012. While there, Mr. Encinias developed and implemented a capacity-on-demand compute services strategy, as well as instituting an Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) Cyber Security program, a first for state government. A retired US Naval Officer, Mr. Encinias’ military career included his service as Relational Supply Application program manager for the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, Deputy Director for Innovation in the eBusiness Operations Office for the Department of the Navy, Chief Information Officer and Executive Officer for the Defense Information Systems Agency, Defense Enterprise Computing Center (Mechanicsburg). Mr. Encinias received the 2014 Government Technology Doer, Dreamer, and Driven Award, 2014 Computer World Premier 100 Technology Leader Award, and the 2014 StateScoop Executive of the Year Award.
