ViON File Services (VFS)
ViON presents ViON File Services (VFS), an out-of-band NAS migration solution that combines best-in-class information management software, data migration engines, a massively scalable architecture, intelligent indexing and integrated storage.
VFS significantly reduces the time it takes to migrate data. NAS migrations that once took months can now be done in weeks. Projects that used to take weeks can be done in days.
VFS employs a suite of intelligent tools that provide file analysis and optimization, discovery of duplicate and near duplicate files, replication, content conversion, auto-classification and search. These tools are presented to the user via a friendly interface within a workflow that follows a logical flow of file discovery, file management and ultimately, file migration.
ViON File Services
- Performs data verification, using MD5, SHA1 or SA256 – making sure whatever you migrate is the same at both source and target. No other solution does this.
- Is policy-driven, providing scheduling, bandwidth throttling and workflows – enable multiple migrations concurrently.
- Supports any vendor’s NAS storage and file servers, performs migrations for SharePoint, Documentum and other CMS systems.
- Is designed for scalability and high performance using a grid architecture that automatically expands system capacity as needed – adding compute, storage and network resources on-the-fly. VFS has been proven to scan more than 273TB of data per day and fully process 17.3TB of complex data per day.
- Uses patent-pending algorithms to achieve unmatched precision and speed and provides an extensible framework which enables users to apply their own meaningful analytic metadata to documents and document set.
