Tom Frana, President and CEO

In January of 1992, Mr. Tom Frana became the President and CEO of ViON Corporation (ViON), a hardware and systems integrator selling storage, server and software solutions and associated services to the U.S. federal government and public sector & commercial areas.  Mr. Frana has 40 years of experience in the information technology industry and 34 years in the vendor environment.

Mr. Frana has been involved in supporting a wide range of functions for both federal and commercial customers. He has experience with systems engineering, sales, marketing, customer service and general management with ITEL, National Advanced Systems and Hitachi Data Systems.  He has held positions in Europe as Vice President and Director of Systems Engineering and Customer Service and Support; Vice President and Managing Director in Asia/Pacific; and Vice President and General Manager of U.S. Operations for Hitachi Data Systems.

Mr. Frana was born in Annapolis, Maryland, at the Naval Academy. He spent three years in the U.S. Marine Corps and has a Liberal Arts degree from Kendall College, Evanston, Illinois.

Mr. Frana is a Founding Member of the U.S. Marine Corps Museum in Quantico, Virginia.  He is also an advisory Council Member on the United Service Organizations (USO) in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, and has served on the Board and Executive Committee at St. John's College High School in Washington, DC, for the past ten years.

Douglas N. Moore, Executive Vice President of Sales

Mr. Douglas Moore brings many years of hands-on sales and management experience in the computer industry to his current role as head of ViON's federal and public sector Marketing Representatives.

Mr. Moore holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Colgate University and a Master of Science degree from American University.

Michael R. Jones, Vice President of Corporate Development

Mr. Michael Jones' experience in computing solutions dates back to 1975.  On leaving the U.S. Marine Corps, Mr. Jones accepted a position at IBM Corporation, where he worked in computer sales.  In 1979, he joined ITEL Corporation's Federal Division just before this division was transferred to ViON Corporation on February 1, 1980.

Mr. Jones has continued to build on his experience in direct sales and sales/channel management by heading up Corporate Development at ViON.  In his current role, he is actively involved in strategic planning, as well as the formal go-to-market process for bringing new products into the corporation.  He also manages many of the resulting supplier relationships.

Mr. Jones holds a BS degree in Economics from the University of Maryland.

Since 1998, he has been an active member of Vistage, a worldwide business organization that brings together key executives and provides insight into best business practices.  Mr. Jones also is active in the community through his involvement in business operations at San Miguel School in Washington, DC.  He additionally serves on the Board and Executive Committee at St. John's College High School in Washington, DC.

John Lubratich, Vice President of Finance and CFO

Mr. John Lubratich was born and raised and a longtime resident of the San Francisco Bay Area.  He is both an MBA (California State University East Bay) and a CPA (worked for Touche Ross).  In addition to Hitachi Data Systems, Mr. Lubratich worked for the Clorox Company and National Semiconductor.  At Hitachi, Mr. Lubratich held a number of positions, including, for the last seven years, Vice President of Finance and Shared Services for the Americas.
